After it had rained most of the week, we were glad to see sunshine in the forecast for our trip to the beach.

The weather was beautiful. Not quite warm enough for swimming to be pleasant, but that won't stop kids.

The wind was really blowing on the beach.  The sand was stinging our legs.  It was difficult to capture in a picture and getting down lower into the blowing sand to try for a picture was actually painful and I felt could not be good for the camera either. The sand is what looks white and smoke-like.

Not your gentle ocean breeze. Windy!

You are a strange, little man and you make me smile.

We celebrated the girls' birthdays - again.
