Goal for the day:
Spread (very large) pile of mulch around yard.

The last time we did this was probably about 5 years ago. Sam is 7 now (so you can do the math). He tells me after watching the truck dump the mulch that he remembers the last time the truck came to deliver mulch. Then he says "But he had a different truck". I looked at John and he confirmed that yes, it was the same guy, but he had a different truck. The kid likes trucks!

Participation required by all family members (no matter how big a load you can carry).

Swimming at a friend's house. They were all walking/swimming around and around the pool as fast as they could and making the water flow in that direction. When they stopped, it was like a lazy river.

ONE of the many mosquitos who made a meal off me while I was taking pictures.

Went to the playground today with friends. The kids played and played. We also took our kites along and tried to fly them. We were unsuccessful, but it was fun anyway.

Feeling a bit squeamish about all the storms which have come rolling through, John took the opportunity of a free weekend to cut down a tree and a large limb out of a tree.

David?  I think I mentioned once before that sometimes I don't ask, I just take pictures.

Today was the last day for the girls Dance and Sign Camp. And Tina finished it in style like only she could.

John's home and very sleepy. Taryn came in, saw him sleeping and asked me, "Does Daddy have jet-lag?" No, he was actually in the same time zone... just tired from an early wake-up for an early flight.

I was walking down the hall to my bedroom and something in the boys' room caught my eye. Do you remember the 7up dot of the late 80s/early 90s? He appeared in all kinds of merchandise during that time. John had a stuffed one that was recently inherited by the kids. And Spot is what caught my eye. He was tied to the fan in the boys' room and was just flying around and around and around.

Went to the lake today and took the 3 neighbor girls. That made a total of 9 kids to look after (didn't get so much reading done this trip). A man was there with his daughters and asked me as I walked down to the beach area, "Are they all yours?" And for probably the first time ever, I could answer no!

My son has been wearing these shorts. My son who is going to turn 6 this month. My son who has been given the new nickname "cheekless".

Once a month our church family has been going to an area nursing home to sing hymns and read from the Word. It has been encouraging for all of us. The kids who are there sing together. This picture is from John's phone and it was last month's outreach and not today's.

After we finished at the nursing home, we headed to a park in Suwanee to pick up Taryn. We had a delicious salad bar dinner.

Tina was a bit grumpy and I thought maybe she was tired. I sent her to her room, and yup. A little rest was just what the doctor ordered.

We went to a friend's pool to swim today. (John says we are majoring in fun and it definitely does seem that way). Wanted to get a picture of Tina in her new bathing suit.   It is noteworthy because I bought the matching hat. I never buy the matching accessories.

At the lake again today. The boys took a break from swimming to play on the playground.

Painting today

No, not really. I just cleaned and made it look white again. One of those jobs which makes a huge difference to me and probably nobody else will notice. Still totally worth it.

David finally lost that wiggly front tooth. It makes me both sad and happy.
