It was our last day. We had to squeeze a lot in... guess that's why there are so many pictures.
Just a good picture of Taryn... She agrees, so it must be good (once you hit teenage years you rarely like a picture of yourself again).
David with his baby flounder fish (and his monkey face)
I don't know what they're studying, but they are intent (and cute... can I still say that about them. Please tell me they're still little enough to be cute?)
The girls boogie boarding together
Some sort of race to keep the water from drying out? Whatever they were doing, they were doing it in a hurry.
Fiddler crab in his little hidey-hole
Bird diving to catch a fish
Got him!
Heron taking off (presumably because I was disturbing him and the fish he was trying to catch)
The fish kept jumping out of the water. I wondered why they would do something like that. Seems pretty stupid to me. Why show yourself to all the birds waiting to catch you. John said they were teenager fish and they were showing off.

One morning in the sun and out pop all those wonderful freckles.
Cooling off in the afternoon. My sister and I had the Snoopy Sno-Cone machine growing up, but turns out SpongeBob (aka Cheeseman) makes just as yummy treats.
A bit blurry, but loved it too much to not post it too.

The kids have been making all kinds of paper airplanes and throwing them off the deck. They'll throw them then come back in to make changes to improve the airplane. They all have several different ones, but I got a kick out of Tina's. It definitely looks like her style. The GFS stands for "Girl's Fun Ship".

Getting ready to paint... the not-fun part.
Color going on the walls. That's green!! I was trying to convince them that this was too green and they should pick a lighter color, like the green in my bathroom. "But that's your boring bathroom. This is our bedroom." "Yeah! We don't want it to be a Grandma and Grandpa room. It has to be pa-zowie" They got it!!
They were too excited to hold still for my picture without a flash. But you can tell they're happy! I think Tina is saying pa-zowie!

The girls have enjoyed looking at the stars lately. Tonight they took their pillows and blankets and laid out on the deck to watch. The boys also joined them with their pillows and blankets. I just didn't take a picture of the boys because my flash was interfering with the stars. A couple nights ago when we were out we saw a satellite moving across the sky.

I usually (not always) make bread on Tuesdays. I was a little later getting started this morning, so I was cutting it for lunch almost straight out of the oven. I was trying to catch a picture of the steam escaping as I cut. I wasn't really successful in that, but was successful in baking yummy bread.

We had a very fun night tonight. Guess where.
Tonight's game against ETSU was free admission. It was threatening to storm and we heard thunder, so were not sure we would get to go. But after we ate dinner we turned on the radio and the announcer was saying they were playing ball and to come on down to watch. And that is just what we did. Students are done with school and the crowd was very light, which I presume is why they were letting folks in for free.
No peanuts or Cracker Jack, but we did share popcorn.
Go Tigers!!
