Had new couches delivered today. This is how the boys broke them in.

I laughed because my mind does not work like a child's. We bought 2 identical couches mostly because it was the most economical way to get the most seating. Anyway, the kids saw those two couches and immediately declared one the boys' couch and the other the girls'. They have an entire elaborate game of points based on this premise. I also have one couch pulled away from the wall in the corner to make the arrangement more pleasing to the eye. The kids took one look and only saw the wonderful hidey-hole I created. I guess I'm just a boring, old grown-up. I just saw 2 couches!

He didn't quite manage to get that tooth out for his birthday yesterday, but it came right out today.

Goal for the day:
Spread (very large) pile of mulch around yard.

The last time we did this was probably about 5 years ago. Sam is 7 now (so you can do the math). He tells me after watching the truck dump the mulch that he remembers the last time the truck came to deliver mulch. Then he says "But he had a different truck". I looked at John and he confirmed that yes, it was the same guy, but he had a different truck. The kid likes trucks!
