David got this book for his birthday which he has really enjoyed.  Here he is hard at work (using his tongue to improve concentration).

Cucumbers are prolific. But the kids will eat one apiece at a single meal, so math will tell you that 16 cucumbers doesn't last long!

Had new couches delivered today. This is how the boys broke them in.

I laughed because my mind does not work like a child's. We bought 2 identical couches mostly because it was the most economical way to get the most seating. Anyway, the kids saw those two couches and immediately declared one the boys' couch and the other the girls'. They have an entire elaborate game of points based on this premise. I also have one couch pulled away from the wall in the corner to make the arrangement more pleasing to the eye. The kids took one look and only saw the wonderful hidey-hole I created. I guess I'm just a boring, old grown-up. I just saw 2 couches!
